Modifying Page Layout and Content

The Page Configuration file is an XML file that defines the structure and format for every page in the entire MicroStrategy Web application. The Page Configuration file makes it extremely easy to determine what content appears in your Web pages, and where that content is displayed.

Use the Page Configuration file to:  

• Define page layout: Know the default page-sections, so you can efficiently change or replace them.  

• Customize what content is displayed: Modify the files displayed in page-sections for a given page.  

• Customize where content is displayed: Modify the location of the page-sections within the default layout.  

• Cascading style sheets and layouts: Learn about how to use cascading style sheets and layouts to improve performance.
